BEHIND THE SCENES AT: ZAC POSEN FALL & PRE-FALL 2012 AT AFF

Who isn't a Zac fan? I mean come on! Even if you aren't a "fashion person" you should still look at his gowns and at least go: "OOH PRETTY!" Well maybe that's an understatement too though. Having sat in at the castings, fitings, cast-fittings for the show and being able to look and touch the pieces up close was such a dream! Every pleat, fold, tuck is done with such precision and intent. Ok but enough of the technical talk, these clothes actually look good on women and by women I don't just mean the 1% of the gender that look like giraffes... in heels... in gowns... in makeup. I'm talking about real women here!  The way every piece is built - You don't need a body, go to Zac, he'll give you one.

Did I also mention, Zac Posen's team gave most of the bigger gowns names? I LOVED that! Here's how it goes:- If it's been worn by a celebrity, the dress takes the wearer's name like the teal Number Kelly Osbourne was in is known plainly as Kelly Osbourne. And the rest are descriptive, like the one above is called 'big red'. How totally adorable is that!

EVENTS: BACKSTAGE AT AFF, MUGLER FALL 2012

So I've just woken up from a record snooze-athon after the INSANE week that was AFF, The Audi Fashion Festival. It was BRR-UUU-TAL. Seriously, I don't know how the people at Mercury do it. So this year, once again I got the amazing opportunity to serve as a chaperone (read:bitch) to the international designers who came down for this week long affair. First up, was Nicola Formichetti, Creative Director of MUGLER. I was assisting Dinie of OneSixtyNotepad for the day, apparently he needed reinforcements, well clearly since he was too busy being Nicola's BFF. Okay I'm starting to sound like Taylor from the Rachel Zoe Project, whoops!

So I stayed with the MUGLER team assisting them with whatever, including making a run to the wholesale centre (thank god it was right next to the office!) to get a hidden zipper. When I wasn't being the errand bitch, I died being a slightly oversized fly on a very fabulous wall, occasionally snapping a candid shot, while trying to avoid looking like a perv. Models slipped in and out of 8-inch high Louboutins, with an army of dressers working to get on ONE outfit. Some of these pieces had so many snaps and little zips in all sorts of places, you wouldn't even believe it. Kinda like surgery, but not really.

What I wore to the opening show of the Audi Fashion Festival 2012. Am WED-ing (Wearing Emerging Designers) today. The Jacket is Sifr from right here in Singapore. The cobalt blue pants are from soulland, a lovely label from New York that I scored for a song at the previous inhabit sale.

The shirt is linen from Uniqlo I added a pair of collar tips which I got at Furrmuse for 8 bucks!

Really old Zara belt that is kinda my go-to instant tummy tuck. Party of 3 what-what! Aldo, a flea find and my Miansai hook from Maison Ikkoku. LOVE that place and the bracelet, duh. But more on that later.

If you don't already know, I'll be at Audi Fashion Festival, or AFF for short, all week! Like the FB page here: http://www.facebook.com/doordiy AND follow my instagramm accont (@greggywoo) if you haven't for all the updates and photos as they happen, PLUS behind the scenes with all the biggest designers.

Sweden based photog Phillip Karlberg, 1200 wooden sticks, 6 days and 6 iconic sunglasses later comes this super innovative photo shoot for Plaza Magazine. One of the rare occasions where art and fashion collide. Brownie points for anyone who can name all the icons these were modelled after, so far I see Karl Lagerfeld, Jackie O and Johnny Depp, can't tell if the one with the bob is Anna Wintour or Lady Gaga. Either way enjoy these images, they are too much of a gem not to share!
