You know that saying "Everyone needs a little Alexander Wang in their lives"? Never heard of it? Well you ought to, it's new, I made it up. Speaking of, I've eyed these utterly lust-worthy Alexander Wang sunnies for THE longest time. With the zipper detail it's just the right amount of edgy for me. And OMG are they cool.
Cut zipper along metal teeth, stay as close to the teeth as possible |
Lightly heat cut side to seal the fabric, preventing further fraying |
Snip off zipper head |
Remove the zipper pull, separating the zipper into 2 rows of teeth
PSST! If the zipper pull's too pretty to chuck, keep it! Can you say "earrings"? |
Glue the first row of teeth down, aligning the centre of your sunnies with the middle of the row of teeth. Have the teeth face inwards, to give that unzipped effect. Repeat the process with the other row of teeth also facing inwards. |
DONE! |
Look who's got a new pair of sunglasses! And if may say so myself, they look pretty decent! It'd definitely take a second look to tell they were DIY-ed.
